United States: Trolls on social media attacked Meghan McCain when she posted her X rant, which discussed the National Institutes of Health cutting brain cancer research after praising Donald Trump, the man behind the cuts, mere weeks ago.
Meghan McCain Slams NIH Cuts
As the daughter of late Republican legend John McCain penned on Tuesday in a now-deleted post of hers, “My fellow republicans – this is wrong: I am absolutely heartbroken at the news the funding for brain cancer research has been completely cut from NIH,” themirror.com reported.
McCain gained popularity by documenting her experiences with her father during his presidential campaign of 2008, although he lost the election against former President Barack Obama.
The Republican activist has committed herself to MAGA principles since that time. The entries on her X bio declare her to be both a “rabble rouser” and a “political nepo baby,” while she displays a positive self-image about both titles.

Furthermore, as McCain continued in her post, “My father and millions of others have been treated there for Glioblastoma and other brain cancers with miracle doctors and nurses,” themirror.com reported.
Impact on Cancer Treatment
“At NIH, among other treatments, is a proton beam that only exists in two other places other in America. The proton beam lasers around brain tumors and kills them. It is nothing short of a miracle (among all the other cancer treatments at NIH).”
